Traditional Chinese philosophy tells us that our health depends on the state of the body's vital energy, or Qi, a smooth and balanced flow is comes with good health, while a disrupted, obstructed or deficient flow manifests in illness. Qi can become disturbed, depleted or blocked for a number of reasons, which often result in symptoms of pain and illness. Acupuncture is the process of re-establishing the balance of the Qi so that the body returns to its balanced state. This is achieved by inserting very fine needles into the channels of energy which stimulates the body's own healing response and returning the body to a state of physical and emotional harmony.
Acupuncture is one of the many options as part of an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation. Scientific research and clinical evidence have shown that Acupuncture can reduce pain by stimulating the brain and spinal cord to produce natural pain-relieving chemicals such as endorphins, melatonin (which promotes sleep) and serotonin (to promote wellbeing), to name but a few. These chemicals assist the body's healing processes and offer pain relief as a precursor to other treatments such as manual therapy or exercise in order to aid recovery.
Is Acupuncture right for me? An initial consultation will take approximately 1-2 hours to establish the most appropriate treatment. Acupuncture can be used as a primary treatment or to complement other treatment methods to give an holistic approach so that the most effective course of treatment is put in place. To find out if it could be an option for your illness or complaint please call Mick to ask any questions you may have or to book an initial consultation.

First time I've been to see Mick. A very professional man, clearly knowledgeable and experienced in his work. I re-booked for an additional session immediately and can highly recommend him.
Wish i was told about Mick earlier . Sorted me out in no time
Mick has saved my back and shoulders from terrible pain. My work means a lot of heavy carrying and often poor posture. He has helped me keep moving and keep working. He's also super professional and really cares about his work.
I've had 2 intermittent back issues for 18 years. I've seen several physios' but Mick is undoubtedly the one I'd recommend. He targeted the areas I needed looking at and gave me instant relief from a pull to my lower back. Thanks Mick.
